Replacement of the obsolete Ambassador Bridge with a cable stay bridge (main span 853m). OM Engineering designed and supplied 4 nos. 114 tonne self climbing jump form systems to construct the two A shaped concrete pylons of 213m height. On completion, this will be the longest cable stay bridge in North America, and will connect Detroit USA with Windsor Canada. The self climbing jump forms where manufactured in China by Norway Steel Asia, and shipped to site in 40' containers. Assembled and lifted in place early 2021, and are now in full operation.
